Liebe Lebensformen,

Die meisten Ameisenpittas leben am Boden der neotropischen Wäldern und werden selten gesehen und sind recht unbekannt. Obwohl, wie ich finde sehr schön.

Sie gehören nicht zu den Singvögeln sondern zu den Schreivögeln. Diese unterscheiden sich von den Singvögeln durch einen einfacher gebauten unteren Kehlkopf.

Bei dieser langbeinigen Schönheit handelt es sich um einen Äquatorialameisenpitta. Der ist erst seit 2020 eine eigene Art, vorher galt er als Unterart des Einfarbameisenpittas.

Most ant pittas live on the ground in neotropical forests and are rarely seen and quite unknown. Although I think they are very beautiful.

They do not belong to the songbirds but to the tyranni (suboscines) These differ from the songbirds in that they have a simpler lower larynx.

This long-legged beauty is an equatorial antpitta. It has only been a separate species since 2020, previously it was considered a subspecies of the rufous antpitta.

die Rostkolibris (Shining sunbeam) haben es mir, durch ihre für Kolibris unübliche Orangefärbung, sehr angetan. Dazu haben sie immer gerne auf Ansitzen gesessen um ihr Revier zu verteidigen. Perfekt für mich als Fotografen.
