Finally put together the cold frame yesterday, took a lot longer than anticipated. Sown some varieties of salad leaf and rucola in the containers and broad beans, peas and sugar snaps in the woolpots.

Of course its time to add some sensors to my #glassHouse / #coldFrame - I've built a wireless sensor (uses an old 868Mhz sensor network I have at home) and finally got round to writing a ds18b20 driver for it (https://git.solarcene.community/smallsolar/ukhasnet_ds18bs20).

It will have 2 temperature sensors - one will be installed 'outside' the frame while the other will be inside - but I'm not sure where - any thoughts?

Made up the frame for the zippy greenhouse over the weekend. I need to get a new cover as I put the frame together so I could measure it. I managed to order one Sunday that getting delivered in the week. @emmaaum this past year I used hay bales and a couple old windows ($5 at the secondhand shop) as my cold frame which stood up great against wind, and in a few weeks I'll use the hay for mulch elsewhere in the garden and then the windows themselves won't take up much room #gardening #coldframe #DIY
