ST MARY'S, COLORADO - Yesterday afternoon, the Alpine Rescue Team (ART) responded to a harrowing incident above St. Mary’s Glacier. At 2:20 PM, ART received a call reporting a stranded party on a cliffband in the area. Initially categorized as a non-emergent situation, the rescue mission swiftly escalated when further information revealed that the party had fallen and was unresponsive.A total of 25 members from the Alpine Rescue Team mobilized, transitioning to an emergent response upon discovering the gravity of the situation.
