Funny: I created a website for my own small business a few weeks ago, and now I got this in my email.

I always though that these "like-farming" companies kept a low profile, but it appears that it's quite the opposite: they do a lot of marketing!

Ja, mein Sohn, früher war #Google mal zuverlässig - dann kam immer mehr #ClickFarming. Aber das war kein Vergleich zu der strategischen Fehlentscheidung #AI Antworten zu halluzinieren. Aber früher hat man auch noch seltsam viel Wert auf Fakten gelegt.

Genauso wie #AdFarming ist das nix neues...

Und ja, es gibt neben Vollautomatisierung sogar extra mit Personen besetzte Clickfarmen um z.B. #Captchas zu lösen und #AntiBot|ting Maßnahmen zu umgehen...

#Amazon selbst spielt da ganz groß mit und vermarktet dies per #aws!

It they've got issues with #Clickfarming they should not weaponize it against users!

There are other, less obtrusive and more accessible options.

Like a math captch like (2+2)-1)=? or some basic logic (un)tick this box if you are a homo sapiens sapiens.

Not to mention most bots can be detected because they gill out said forms faster than any person woth a password manager can, so it takes less than 1 second between query and reply...

@[email protected] "low-quality" "shovelvideos" are kinda like "shovelware games" aka. Unity asset flips: They are dirt-cheap to make and can easily ROI themselves via advertising.

Not to mention that #AdFarming and #ClickFarming exist as business models, thus it's a working way to launder money.
