Der talentierte Mr. F. - hier anschauen

Diese Geschichte klingt zu verrückt, um wahr zu sein. Und doch ist sie es: Über drei Jahre lang arbeiteten die Berliner Filmstudenten Julius und Moritz an ihrem Animationsfilm 'Butty', mit dem sie den Sprung in die große Filmwelt schaffen wollen. Doch die Absage eines Filmfestivals lässt sie aufhorchen: Sie werden disqualifiziert. 'Butty' kursiert bereits online und wird einem Filmemacher aus den USA zugeordnet. Die beiden Studenten müssen ihre Einreichung zurückziehen. Die Filmstudenten sind sich sicher, dass es sich um eine Verwechslung handeln muss. Doch je mehr sie der Sache nachgehen, desto unglaublicher wird die Geschichte des 'talentierten Mr. F.' aus den USA, der ihren Animationsfilm klaute, Titel und Credits veränderte und sich schließlich im Rampenlicht von Filmfestivals und US-amerikanischen TV-Shows sonnt. Wer ist dieser Mann, der sich öffentlich mit fremden Federn schmückt und in dem einige schon den Walt Disney des 21. Jahrhundert sehen? Und wie weit ist er bereit zu gehen?

Vor hundert Jahren veröffentlichte Arthur Schnitzler seine Novelle über die unterdrückten erotischen Fantasien eines Ehepaares, dessen populärste Verfilmung „Eyes Wide Shut“ von Kubrick sein dürfte.

Die aktuelle Verfilmung scheitert dagegen, erzählerisch und visuell ist der Film so abtörnend, dass selbst die beim Eintritt vom Kino verteilte Probepackung Gleitgel die Libido unten hält.

[Deutsch] Vor hundert Jahren veröffentlichte Arthur Schnitzler seine Novelle über die unterdrückten erotischen Fantasien eines Ehepaares, dessen populärste Verfilmung Eyes Wide Shut von Kubrick sein dürfte. Die aktuelle Verfilmung aus Deutschland ist mit Anspielungen auf jenen Film und dem Originalwerk von Schnitzler offenbar eine Hommage, in welcher der Handlungsort von Wien in das Berlin der Gegenwart verlegt wird. Aus meiner Sicht ist der Versuch gescheitert, erzählerisch und visuell ist der Film so abtörnend, dass selbst die beim Eintritt vom Kino verteilte Probepackung Gleitgel die Libido unten hält.
