@benroyce Not sure how anyone gets behind a guy so hell bent on distracting you from the fact that he's a #childpredator and #childrapist that he's willing to start a war with a country that never provoked us

In case you were inclined to think that overt fascists were new to Turning Point, Late Night Antifa has a new report on "Kansas Zoomer" Ian Ballinger, who was the "outreach director and social media manager" for Turning Point's campus chapter while he was a student at Kansas University between 2018-22. Between 2020-22, he was deeply involved in Nick Fuentes' "Groyper" scene and has a long track record of posting openly nazi shit online.

He's now a primary school social studies teacher at Prairie View USD 362 in La Cygne, Kansas, about an hour south of Kansas City, and he's got some literally biblical ideas about how young is okay for girls to get married. It's only downhill from there.

This is a person who should not be working with kids. If you feel like letting his employer know, have at it (link in the article), but please be nice to the people who answer the phone or check the email. They didn't ask for this shit.

South Gloucestershire man jailed after booking Mumbles B&B to meet “underage girl”

49‑year‑old Rodolfa Galvao, from Yate in South Gloucestershire, had been communicating online with what he thought was a 14‑year‑old girl. In reality, the account was a decoy operated by a volunteer group.

Galvao arranged to meet in Swansea in July and was challenged by members of the group when he arrived at a city centre bowling alley carrying a rose and a bar of chocolate. Police were called and he was arrested before he could check in to the Mumbles accommodation he had booked for two nights.

A search of his phone revealed sexually explicit messages sent to the decoy account.

At Swansea Crown Court, Galvao pleaded guilty to attempting to meet a child under 16 following grooming. He was sentenced to 14 months in prison, placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years, and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.

“He poses a danger to children”

Detective Constable Rebecca Brain of South Wales Police said:

“Rodolfa Galvao believed he was communicating with a child and still sent explicit sexual messages to them, even going to the lengths of arranging to meet them.

It is clear that he poses a danger to children, and it is fortunate that the ‘child’ at the other end of the conversation was not real. He is fully deserving of a spell in prison.”

The court heard Galvao had no previous convictions. Judge Paul Thomas KC said there was “only one reason” why the defendant had booked the Mumbles hotel room and that he showed “no real remorse, only self‑pity.”

Support for survivors

South Wales Police said they recognised how difficult it can be for survivors of sexual abuse to come forward, but urged victims to seek support.

“We hope cases like this one provide reassurance that victims will be listened to, treated with dignity and respect, and will be supported throughout the judicial process,” a spokesperson said.

Swansea man jailed after sending sexual messages to decoy account he believed was a child

Believed he was speaking to a child

Christopher Jones, 55, of Swansea’s SA1 Waterfront, exchanged explicit messages with an account he believed belonged to a girl under 16. In reality, the account was a decoy run by an independent online child protection team.

Jones pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a girl aged 13–15 to engage in sexual activity and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

He was sentenced to 28 months in prison.

Police response

Detective Constable Tim Davies of South Wales Police said Jones’s behaviour showed he posed a clear risk to children.

“Christopher Jones’s messages to the decoy account were abhorrent and it was clear that he believed he was speaking to a young teenager.

People like Christopher quite clearly pose a risk to the safety of children, and it is highly fortunate that the person on the other side of the conversation was a decoy rather than a real child.

He will no longer be able to pose that risk now that he is heading for prison.”

DC Davies added that there is “absolutely no defence, justification, or excuse for the horrific crime of child sexual abuse.”

Support for survivors

Police said they recognise how difficult it can be for survivors of sexual abuse to come forward, but stressed that victims will be listened to, treated with dignity and respect, and supported throughout the judicial process.

Anyone affected by sexual abuse who is not yet ready to report to police is encouraged to seek help from specialist support services.

Cwmavon man jailed for child sex offences

A man from Cwmavon has been handed a 23‑year extended sentence after being found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting three boys, the youngest aged just five.

Guilty verdict at Swansea Crown Court

Joshua Jones, aged 32, of Heol Cwm Mawr, denied all charges but was convicted following a trial at Swansea Crown Court. He was found guilty of rape of a boy under 13, five counts of sexual assault of a boy under 13 by touching, and causing a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Judge Catherine Richards said Jones had shown “predatory and grooming behaviour” towards his victims, including giving them gifts and vapes, and ruled he was a dangerous offender who required an extended sentence to protect the public.

Sentence and restrictions

Jones was sentenced to 19 years in custody with a further four years on licence. He must serve at least two‑thirds of the custodial term before being considered for release, and only if the Parole Board is satisfied he is no longer a risk.

He will remain on the sex offenders register for life and is subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order restricting his access to children.

Devastating impact on victims

The court heard powerful victim impact statements from the families of the three boys.

One mother said her son had gone from being an “outgoing, open and trusting” child to someone who now trusted no‑one and questioned everyone’s motives. Another described how her son had “completely shut down” after the abuse, while a third said it was as if “all the colour and joy” had been taken from her child’s life.

Police statement

Detective Constable Samantha Lewis of South Wales Police said:

“Joshua Jones callously took advantage of three boys in the most sickening of ways. He robbed them of the innocent years of their childhood. This was no isolated incident; this was a number of occasions where Jones perpetrated horrendous crimes upon his child victims. He is rightfully going to be locked up in prison for a significant period of time.”

She added that police recognised how difficult it was for survivors of sexual abuse to come forward, but hoped the case would reassure victims that they would be listened to, treated with dignity and supported through the judicial process.

Texas megachurch founder Robert Morris pleads guilty to child sex abuse charges in Oklahoma case

Authorities say a Texas megachurch founder has pleaded guilty to lewd and indecent acts with a child after he was accused of sexually abusing a young girl in the 1980s in Oklahoma while he was a traveling minister. Sixty-four-year-old Robert Preston Morris entered the pleas Thursday before a judge in Oklahoma under a plea agreement. Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said Morris received a 10-year suspended sentence with the first six months to be served in jail. Drummond said the abuse began in 1982 when the victim was 12 and Morris was staying at her family's home in Hominy, Oklahoma. Morris resigned as senior pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, after the accusations were made public.

Ystradgynlais man jailed for decade of child sexual abuse

Court case

Kerry James Price, 53, of Tan y Farteg, Ystradgynlais, was convicted of 15 sexual offences following a trial at Swansea Crown Court. The offending began when the victim was around five years old and continued into her teenage years.

Price, who previously ran computer repair shops in Ystradgynlais, Bridgend and Dunvant before working as an IT technician at Swansea University, denied all the allegations but was found guilty by a jury.

He was sentenced to an extended 14‑year term — comprising nine years in custody and a further five years on licence — and made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Pattern of abuse

The court heard how Price manipulated his victim with “games” before escalating to repeated sexual assaults. He also secretly took indecent photographs, including so‑called “upskirting” images, and was found with 25 indecent images of children on his phone, including Category A material.

The abuse came to light after the victim disclosed what had happened to her grandmother, who then informed her mother. Police arrested Price in August 2023.

Police statement

Detective Constable Stuart Sandy of South Wales Police said:

“Kerry Price showed no remorse at all for his actions, as is evidenced with his not guilty pleas. He thought he could get away with what he had done, but he was proven badly wrong.

He abused his victim for a period not far off a decade, starting when they were a young child. What he has done is sickening and will have been a horrendously traumatic experience for both the victim and her family. The victim and her family showed great strength by giving evidence at trial, compared to the defendant, whose defence the judge said, ‘at times bordered on the farcical’.

Prison is the right place for him, and it is great to see him get an extended sentence.”

Judge’s remarks

Sentencing, Judge Paul Thomas KC described Price’s behaviour as “utterly depraved” and said he had “not a scintilla of remorse”. He told the defendant he was motivated entirely by self‑interest, adding: “All you have is a deep well of self pity.”

Victim impact

In a statement read to the court, the victim described Price as a “child predator” who thrived on control and grooming. She said the abuse had robbed her of her childhood and left her constantly looking over her shoulder.
