The main #CherokeePurple plants have been removed from their planter.
Only one had a decent root system, the other two’s roots were barely below the surface.

The #Feijoa are totally root bound in their Daley’s pots.
I had to soak the plant I put in the Cherokee planter for some time to free it for planting.
I came back inside after that as I’m still feeling very weak.
As I came in #Bunnings pulled in & delivered the 6 big bags of mulch I’d ordered directly behind the car!
*sigh*
The last of my #tomatoes I think.
We had some great looking #CherokeePurple growing, big beautiful ones, but a combination of huge hungry grubs & almost °0 Celsius killed them off.
Such is life.

It rained quite a lot overnight. The tomatoes had a real soaking.
20 Big Pear were picked this morning. 1 #CherokeePurple had fallen & split around its circumference. I’ll keep it for seeds.
My better half came home after checking in with family for #Easter.
I’m using 21 Big Pear #tomatoes in tonight’s #dinner - the reliable old #DevilledSausages - using #CumberlandPork snags this time round.
The meal is on a 4 hour slow cook as the sausage skins can be very thick at times - luck of the Irish I guess - but my better half isn’t a fan of the skins.
Meanwhile, there are about 18 ripe Big Pears not yet picked today AND some of my #CherokeePurple tomatoes are starting to ripen!
In other news:
I shaved my moustache off yesterday but kept the beard. I now look like a bloated #Amish man.
2 days of temperatures around 29° Celsius have killed about 25 flowers on my #CherokeePurple #tomato plants. 😕
I purchased a new hoe from #Bunnings - $74 including delivery!
A new load of lucerne was delivered yesterday. This time I didn’t need to climb over them to get to the paddock gate as my better half had a chat to the new delivery driver on Sunday. 🤗
Oh! I forgot I took a look at the #CherokeePurple #tomatoes too.
I just think that they have the best flavour & texture of any #tomato. 🤤
My #CherokeePurple #tomatoes don't get enough of a mention, so here's a pic of them I took on the way to the car.
There are larger tomatoes on it's other side but they are obscured by the Big Pear #tomato l plant.
