The name of the river is supposedly Seminole for “hanging pumpkin place.” There is a Seminole pumpkin variety that I’ve attempted to grow but haven’t had much luck with (yet!) It’s a climbing vine that was traditionally trained up trees so that the pumpkins hung from the limbs. #nature #Florida #gardening #heirloom
