I have never heard of a #Chatelaine before but after reading this article I am completely fascinated.

It's the ladies version of the #DIY survival belt that I always tried to make as a kid. I absolutely love it!

Since I can't sleep and I'm bored because of an internet outage, I decided to look through my old jewelry making supplies for things I could use in a homemade #chatelaine.
Found a wallet chain with a very strong clip, and a necklace for the chains, both from my childhood. Sadly I can't trust either of them because they have no markings and my nickel allergy didn't manifest until my teenage goth phase (SO MANY dubious metal studs). 🙃
I'll have to wear them and see if an itch appears. 😩

Made out like bandits at the #thrift fair. Picked up a a bunch of cheap silver (coloured) jewellery to make a #chatelaine for my Victorian costume ^_^
