Πέντε μέρες πριν τα Χριστούγεννα του 1989, το καθεστώς διανύει τις τελευταίες μέρες του. Οι κάτοικοι της #Τιμισοάρα έχουν ξεσηκωθεί κατά του καθεστώτος του Νικολάι #Τσαουσέσκου, ο στρατός έχει ανοίξει πυρ κατά των διαδηλωτών και η κατάσταση έχει βγει εκτός ελέγχου, με όλη την υπόλοιπη χώρα να μαθαίνει τις εξελίξεις μέσω ξένων ραδιοφωνικών σταθμών.
Στο Βουκουρέστι τα πράγματα είναι φαινομενικά ήσυχα, οι δρόμοι είναι γεμάτοι αλλά οι κάτοικοι δυσφορούν και δίνουν μάχη με τις ελλείψεις, τη δύσκολη καθημερινότητα καθώς και την πανταχού παρούσα μυστική αστυνομία (Σεκουριτάτε) που παρακολουθεί τους πάντες και τα πάντα για να εντοπίσει αντιφρονούντες κι εχθρούς του καθεστώτος

Η #ταινία ακολουθεί έξι εντελώς διαφορετικές και φαινομενικά ασύνδετες ιστορίες ανθρώπων που διασταυρώνονται με απρόσμενους τρόπους και καθώς οι εντάσεις φτάνουν στο απροχώρητο μια εκρηκτική στιγμή τους ενώνει.

Καλογυρισμένη ταινία, με χιούμορ παρά το ζοφερό θέμα με το οποίο καταπιάνεται. Σίγουρα θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερη, δεδομένης της διάρκειάς της, που μπορεί να κουράσει κάποιο κόσμο λόγω και κάποιων αργών πλάνων. Προσωπικά δεν έχω τέτοια θέματα
Εστιάζει κυρίως στους ανθρώπους παρά στα ίδια τα ιστορικά γεγονότα και προφανώς δεν πρόκειται για ντοκιμαντέρ. Ένας-δυο χαρακτήρες μπορεί να είναι λίγο στερεοτυπικοί καθώς συνηθίζεται να υπάρχουν και τους έχουμε δει επανειλημμένα σε ταινίες παρόμοιας θεματολογίας. Ίσως αν είχαν γραφτεί με λίγη παραπάνω πρωτοτυπία η ταινία θα κέρδιζε μερικούς πόντους ακόμα.

Υ.Γ.: Το 8.1 στο #imdb ίσως παραείναι τραβηγμένο αλλά απ' ό,τι είδα έχουν πέσει πολλά 10άρια από Ρουμάνους. Με τον καιρό προβλέπω να ισορροπεί πιο κοντά στο 7άρι.

Der #Equalizer EQ-350 ist die einzige HiFi-Komponente aus #Rumänien, die ich bisher zu Gesicht bekommen habe. Nicolay #Ceausescu hat #HiFi offensichtlich nur für sich und seinesgleichen entwickeln und produzieren lassen, sodass diese kaum für das rumänische Volk erreichbar war und schon gar nicht in den Export ging. Die Besonderheit des ansonsten schlichten Equalizers stellen die verbauten LC-Filter dar.

Today in Labor History December 22, 1989: Ion Iliescu overthrew Nicolae Ceaușescu, the Communist dictator of Romania, after days of bloody protests against his repressive rule. Ceausescu and his wife were tried and convicted of genocide against the Romani people, and executed on Christmas Day, 1989. In the 1970s and 80s, Queen Elizabeth had granted him knighthood, and both the U.S. Vice President George H.W. Bush and Secretary of State George Schultz had praised the man.
