@johnefrancis Am I the only one stupid enough to run Android 15 Beta on my phone that controlled a hybrid close loop system with an YpsoPump and FreeStyle Libre sensor? I had zero issus. #t1d #CamAPS #diabetesTech

I'm still honestly amazed at how well the algorithm works for my insulin pump, to the point where I can do an hour of heavy weeding and not have to stop due to diabetes.

It's really reassuring to know that I'm okay to get things done. For all that tech is doing weird lately, this is one thing where I am grateful for it doing it right. I have an issue with momentum being interrupted and getting back to it (ADHD), and this makes it less likely to happen.

Now to figure out how to do all the things that need doing.

With the start of Actual Spring (finally), we've got a bit of a heatwave (25 today) and I've been out getting the winter stuff put away and the summer stuff ready to use, pulling weeds, planning things...

And I haven't gone hypo. Granted, I've been really good about putting an hour limit on Doing Things and then a mandated break so I don't decimate my glucose stores, but to be able to do that much and not have a hypo (with some pre-planning) is really awesome.

It'll be my first summer with CamAPS and the Ypsopump so I don't expect it to be perfect, but this really helps make it so Doing Things away from home (and even around the home) will eventually not cause anxiety.

I am loving my Ypsomed pump with #CamAPS. I did some work out in the shed and set it to "I'm doing stuff that will tank me, please adjust accordingly." And I started the moving/putting together things at 187 (10.3), worked for an hour, told the pump to go back to normal mode, and 30 minutes later, I'm sitting at a cool 125 (6.9).

Successes like this (where they're low-stakes because I am at home where all my everything is) really help to boost the feeling that I can increase my activity level and be safe (with precautions).

Back from my long day in D'dorf with the diabetes team. I'm to start using Ease Off and Boost as necessary. At some point in the next two weeks, I should take a look at what the basals are in Glooko and see where that differs from what I've currently got input.

Other than that, I'm happy. The diabetes team is happy. (The banister's happy!)

Next up: fine tuning the #CamAPS to work with going out for walks (and figuring out how long of a walk requires it.) I am my own science experiment! #T1D

Monday I have my two week follow up for my new insulin pump and how it's getting on with the #CamAPS integration.

In the last two weeks of "don't use the ease off function" (which for me translates into: don't go for a walk) I've knit almost two sweaters (collars to go), and read at least half a book.

It has been running me a little low at times in the last few days but not terrifyingly so.

The current issue is that the cannula adhesive is itching like the devil after 24 hours.

This is pizza and a beer and the #CamAPS is still learning me. Honesrly, better than I managed before where I'd be up in the 250s, minimum.

But I'm not giving up pizza!

I'm really looking forward to having the boost and ease-off options available to me. I could use them now, but it interferes with the learning algorithm.

I'm going to have to run some "I am my own science experiment" tests with the ease-off with some shorter hilly walks in my neighbourhood. I do know that I'm very insulin-sensitive with any sort of lower body exercise, and I'm hoping this works well enough to make rollerskiing and hiking less of a thing to micromanage. #T1D #CamAPS

I'm 72 hours into having a #CamAPS integrated insulin pump and my overnights have been nothing short of miraculous.

I'm no longer waking up in the 200s if I have a bit of toast and peanut butter before bed.

We're still working through the daytime situation, but the lack of alarms of either too high or too low is wonderful. Not having to adjust for dawn phenomenon is great as well. Foot on the floor is still a work in progress. #T1D
