Nature does not require justification - least of all as a means to further some goal of mankind .It should just be, pure, beautiful in its authentic rawness and evolved balance, left to do what it will.

An image from some incredible frosty conditions last December in Scotland's Ancient Caledonian Forest. A morning to remember. I waited quite a while at this particular birch tree for the sun to crest the hills to the south in hopes that the hoar frost would glow, and it did just that and then some!

Just finished a stroll in the Caledonian Forests of Rothiemurchus, emerged to find it raining that peculiar thick yet soft rain so bright in the sun... it could only mean one thing.
From the roadside the rainbow was mostly hidden behind trees, so I sent the droneybird up... Beautiful.

Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold

An amazing atmosphere - shades of green and white - distant Scots Pine trees standing majestic and tall through the thick morning mist billowing around - I think the distant slopes of Creag na Callich or Creag Fhearchair.
