Stanley Mills, built to harness the tremendous power of the River Tay to process cotton on a site north of Perth in the late 1700s. One of the areas that never seems to get discussed in matters of environment is the role of stupid, short-sighted, unthinking, witless, bureaucratic morons in local councils. They hear "accessible!" and "planning!" and "improvement!" and green-light what is nothing more than destruction of vast swathes of environment and ecosystem.

Kids, the message has not got through.
