Oggi Cabot dice di aver chiuso ogni contatto con Byron già mesi fa, lo scorso autunno. Ma quando le viene chiesto di chiarire nel dettaglio le presunte bugie, si ferma: “Non voglio fare agli altri quello che è stato fatto a me. Il mondo ha già parlato troppo”.
Un passaggio che segna anche una svolta rispetto al passato: nell’intervista rilasciata al New York Times a dicembre, infatti, non aveva mai parlato apertamente di menzogne. A guest on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast, the former HR manager of Astronomer recounted believing that Andy Byron, then CEO of the company, was already in the process of divorcing his wife when their relationship began. A conviction that today seems unfounded. “It wasn’t the person they said they were. For me, lying is something you can’t negotiate. She completely lacked honesty.”
