The #oddBunch produce box was received today. Thankfully our sidewalk motion sensor alerts me of an approaching delivery so the fruit and veg didn't need to sit out in the -20C at all.

I substituted onions for the bell peppers (aka capsicum aka paprika ) but they left one behind anyway. Oh well, I eat them, tho' my partner doesn't.

It's veggie/fruit day. Got our delivery and got them all put away. Oh, it's a little dark in the paper bag - red grapes in there. A nice treat, haven't had grapes in a while.

Might need to skip next week's delivery, as we're getting a little backed up on inventory and try to run a zero-food-waste household.

Highlight of my #Saturday morning is the arrival of the #oddBunch box. Even better when the items include several items from my shopping list and a few other treats as well.

Those blackberries need to get some fun application. The mango seems a tad green, so might be a chance to make a Thai green mango salad. And eggplant suggests babaganouj in the near future.

Veggy box day! The weekend fruit and veg box delivery lineup comes out on Monday, and so I'm in there doing a few substitutions. We're overloaded with excess limes currently, so swapping those for some additional clementine oranges.

And they're trying to pawn some zucchini off on me again, so I'll swap that up to an eggplant, and maybe make some baba ganouj with it.

The coming week's #oddBunch veg and fruit selection has been published.

We're greatly enjoying the current batch, though I suspect we're well stocked in celery for a while. Might try the free substitution feature on that item for the coming week.

Six months ago, breakfast for me would be some kind of fast food sandwich (Sourdough Breakfast Jack or Croissanwich!) and a medium Coke. Now I'm getting fresh local fruits and veggies from FarmLink (a local CSA company), starting my day with fresh, vibrant colors and tastes. #newlyvegan #csabox #localfruits #papaya #hawaii

I love being a member of community supported agriculture (#CSA). My friend/neighbor and I are splitting a winter share from Hearty Roots Farm (https://www.heartyroots.com). It's wonderful getting fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese, and eggs in winter. This week's share: mixed greens, Russian kale, Ruby Frost apples, organic eggs, gold potatoes, turnips, beets, onions, shallots, fresh mozzarella, and sheep's milk cheese.

CSAs exist everywhere. Search for them in your locality.
