This afternoon, I treated myself to a sandwich from Russo's, an Italian deli. Russo's has been in #NYC since 1908. It has three shops—one in the East Village and two in Park Slope. My sandwich, called "The Godfather," has boiled ham, prosciutto, capicola, roasted peppers, and provolone. It's so huge that I can get several meals out of it.

I also picked up some of the pasta of the day: pasta with ham in Alfredo sauce.

I love being a member of community supported agriculture (#CSA). My friend/neighbor and I are splitting a winter share from Hearty Roots Farm (https://www.heartyroots.com). It's wonderful getting fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese, and eggs in winter. This week's share: mixed greens, Russian kale, Ruby Frost apples, organic eggs, gold potatoes, turnips, beets, onions, shallots, fresh mozzarella, and sheep's milk cheese.
