I have been #sewing quite a lot of black pieces for my wardrobe lately. I sing with a community choral group and we wear formal black in all of our performances, so now I have several separates that are appropriate to wear. Here's my latest #sew - This tuxedo jacket has been in my sewing queue for a couple of years so I'm glad to finally sew it. I still have the lining to sew and some finishing touches (ie, button & buttonhole) but I'm making steady progress and I'm very pleased with how it is looking (and fitting).
It is so wonderful to sew a coordinated wardrobe that looks great & fits me. This is one of the many reasons I love to sew. (I also sewed the camisole that is worn underneath the jacket in the picture).
The jacket pattern is #Simplicity 9138; and the camisole pattern is #Butterick 5487 (both patterns are out of print but can be purchased from many reseller websites)
