I have never captured the perfect image of Boudhanath. I likely never will. It's a dynamic place that drowns you in opportunity to the point of paralysis. My favourite part of visiting are the drums of incense. They arrive late in the afternoon, and the skies fill with scent and smoke. People pay a few cents to tip in a fresh cup of incense.

Iconic, for a reason. Boudhanath is a bit special.

It can be hard finding new ways to photograph a country after 15 years of exploring and capturing. Sometimes I don't even bother looking for new ways, I just try to get a slightly better version of something I've already captured.

Die Great Stupa of #Boudhanath mit ca. 43 m Höhe und einem Durchmesser von knapp 31 Metern. Der Bau geht der Überlieferung nach auf die Licchavi-Könige (5. Jh.) zurück.
