And, like, my experience with evening service on the 64 (now replaced by the D44) is that it was never, ever practical to catch a transfer to the 62 after the 63 had stopped running. Usually the northbound 62 left about two minutes before the 64 got to Georgia & New Hampshire, and then it would be a longer wait for a transfer than it would take to walk to north Petworth from the 64. Are they fixing that frequency issue, or just putting a new label on the same problem? Is there ANY data to back up the new routes and frequencies? #WMATA #BetterBus
I understand the general idea of the new #WMATA #BetterBus route map, but they needed a better communication strategy. I sort of understood that the old 63 route might go away, but I missed how they were also removing stops on the new C75 that replaces the 62 … but only, seemingly, for the southbound leg. Northbound there are stops at Shepherd and Decatur, but the corresponding southbound stops are gone for some reason. If you're fixing one, why not fix both?
The Great Renaming of Metro bus routes is here! From a few spot checks, Apple Maps uses the new route names, while Google Maps sometimes mixes and matches them with the old ones. #BetterBus

People of #DC, have you given feedback for #WMATA’s #BetterBus project yet? This is the first major network redesign since 1973, in a region that adds 3000 people a month. WMATA runs 200+ #bus lines, with partners running another 250+.

Contribute your ideas, attend an event or workshop, or sign up for updates at: https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/plans/Better-Bus/about-the-project.cfm

As a bonus, if you attend a live event, you might spot a member of the Zimbabwe household (not me)!
