
Riders at T stops in Cambridge, Somerville and Medford who were not busy staring at the platform floor or just off into space this morning were greeted with these ads today, advertising extensions to all four T subway lines proposed by "the Coolidge Commission" in a $5,000 ad buy by Cambridge City Councilor and state Senate candidate Burhan Azeem. Tomorrow there is a virtual meeting and a chance to support ditching battery buses and request the trolley bus instead of the enroute charged garbage. That adds delays in service at stops to charge and the rapid charging will increase waste from all that rapid charging.

At first I was intrigued at the idea of rentable cargo bikes, and then I was annoyed because they're "reserving" public infrastructure.
...but it appears that they actually have an arrangement with the MBTA to do this! I do think there's a risk of using up limited bike parking spaces but it does seem like a neat program, so let's see how it goes.
