Buses and trains have priority seats for old people, pregnant people, and people who need them for other reasons. I say expand that to be a whole section instead of some seats, and add a mandatory age limit to that section where you have to be over either 15 or 18.

"A subway under Wilshire Boulevard was first funded by voters in 1980. The three stations took 46 years to build. Many of the Angelenos who voted to fund the original line never lived to ride it. …

"Every wealthy enclave gets a veto — or at least a right to stall progress while attempting a veto. Every rider pays the bill."

Contributor: The Wilshire subway took 46 years. Future projects should skip the decades of objections

California can't afford to entertain lawsuits and stalling by local entities. Transit, like housing, is too important to let NIMBYs interfere.

This guy Adam on YouTube is super entertaining. I discovered him while I was looking up videos about Amtrak and he has some good videos about Amtrak. But, he also does a lot of content where he goes camping in national parks -- and gets to the parks via trains and public transportation. He films himself during all these excursions and knowing how filming goes, he does a lot of walking the same trail twice to get shots. It's a lot of work and I appreciate the craftsmanship he puts into his videos.

His videos remind me a lot of a show I watched on the Discovery channel named Survivorman where the dude went out into the wild and filmed himself surviving.

I don't recommend YouTube channels in general, but Adam makes good content.
