Tom Hunt has moved#OTD in 1931: Former #Mafia boss Ignazio #Lupo was arrested in #Brooklyn and charged with the months-old murder of Roger Consiglio. (Consiglio was struck and killed by six bullets as he stood near a #BathBeach service station on Oct. 8, 1930.) The case was soon dismissed for lack of evidence.

#OTD in 1952, the body of gangland murder victim Ralph "Bucky" #Emmino turned up in #BathBeach, #Brooklyn. Police later learned that the killing was related to the recent theft of jeweled crowns from Brooklyn's #ReginaPacis Shrine Church. Leaders in the #Profaci Crime Family soon had the crowns returned to the church, in what was called, The Miracle of Brooklyn. #MafiaHistory #NYC #Histodons
