#OTD in 1931: Former #Mafia boss Ignazio #Lupo was arrested in #Brooklyn and charged with the months-old murder of Roger Consiglio. (Consiglio was struck and killed by six bullets as he stood near a #BathBeach service station on Oct. 8, 1930.) The case was soon dismissed for lack of evidence.

Police later learned that the killing was related to the recent theft of jeweled crowns from Brooklyn's #ReginaPacis Shrine Church.
