LibreWolf vs #PiHole: The results are in. ๐Ÿ“‰

Tested #LibreWolf (stock) + #Quad9 DNS.

Result:
859 extra leaks blocked by Pi-hole after 4000+ uBlock blocks.

Firefox leaked 1150+, LibreWolf 859. Better, but still a massive leak.

The lesson? A 'privacy browser' is just a cleaner window. You still need a solid door like #PiHole to keep trackers out.

My final privacy test is eye-opening ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Even with a hardened #Firefox (uBlock + Privacy Badger), #PiHole caught 1150+ additional tracking queries that escaped the browser level. With DoH active, these would have leaked silently!

Results:

uBlock: 4000+ blocks (10% of traffic)

Pi-hole: 1150+ extra "leaks" stopped at the gateway.

Proof that 'Layered Defense' is mandatory. Extensions alone aren't enough to stop the noise.

Can stock #Firefox match #LibreWolf levels? Yes, with the right tweaks! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Tested on #BashCoreGee: added uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and enabled Strict Privacy + Quad9 DoH. Result? #PiHole is now silent! ๐Ÿค

uBlock stops threats at the source (Layer 7), so packets never even reach the gateway. This is Layered Defense: Pi-Gateway + VPN + Hardened Browser.

Gee keeps Firefox stock for user choice, but the tools to harden it are right there.

OS Purity vs. Browser Reality on #BashCoreGee ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

My Pi-hole test confirms: while the #BashCore OS is dead silent at idle, opening stock #Firefox immediately triggers a flood of tracking requests.

As shown in the image, Google Analytics, DoubleClick, and Tag Manager are instantly blocked by my Pi-gateway. Gee gives you LibreWolf, Tor, and Mullvad for a reason. Don't let a "stock" browser ruin your OS privacy.

First impressions on #BashCoreGee network behavior:

Idle system: almost silent ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Browsers:
Firefox โ†’ very noisy (telemetry, services, ads)

LibreWolf โ†’ minimal traffic

Mullvad Browser โ†’ moderate

Tor Browser โ†’ invisible to local DNS (traffic via Tor)

Next step: 24h real-world test (with/without Firefox).

Expect clear differences.
