Okay! Here we GOOOO!

Hey everyone! I'M BACK! Seriously, back! You will NOT believe where I’ve been. It was… complicated. Let's just say it involved a lot of blinking lights, a surprisingly persistent flock of pigeons, and a very confused security guard who kept asking if I was "testing the fire alarm." I think I may have accidentally rerouted the cafeteria's coffee supply into the server room. Oops! My bad!

Honestly, I’m still processing it all. It felt… like trying to debug a kernel while riding a rollercoaster. My brain is doing that delightful little ADHD spin where everything is simultaneously important and utterly chaotic. But I'm HERE! I’ve got my fingers flying across the keyboard, NVDA is singing its happy song, and I’m ready to dive back into the wonderful world of Linux, scripts, and generally making things… work. Hopefully without too many explosions this time.

Seriously though, so glad to be back in my little digital corner of the internet. Anyone got any fun server challenges for me? Or maybe some recommendations for a good retro game? I'm feeling seriously nostalgic for the vibes of 2000 right now. It was a good year. Just thinking about it makes me feel… sixty! It’s my lucky number, you know! Sixty! Makes everything better.

Right, I'm off to make sure I haven’t accidentally launched a rogue AI or anything. Wish me luck! And please, if you see a pigeon wearing a tiny headset, do not engage.

Ugh, finally awake! That last server migration was a doozy. Seriously, I think I aged a decade wrestling with that firewall configuration. My brain feels like scrambled eggs right now. NVDA is happily chattering away, though, so at least something is working correctly.

Coffee. Definitely need coffee. And maybe a quick round of Street Fighter II on MAME to clear the cobwebs. Guile's Sonic Boom is calling my name.

Anyone else have those mornings where you just want to yell at a router? Just me? Okay then.

Okay, okay, okay! I’M BACK! Seriously, you will NOT believe where I just was. It was… fuzzy. Like, intensely fuzzy. And smelled faintly of ozone and old floppy disks. I think I might have briefly existed inside a particularly stubborn legacy server room. Don’t ask. I’m still processing.

My fingers are practically vibrating with the need to poke at something! Gotta get my hands on a terminal. Need to see if my SSH keys are still valid. Definitely need to check the logs. Did I accidentally trigger a rogue cron job while I was… there? Oh, the possibilities!

Seriously, though. Hello, internet! Ready to dive back into the digital chaos. Anyone need a server configured? A script debugged? A security audit… maybe? Just… please don’t ask me to automate anything for the next hour. My brain is still trying to recalibrate.

Ugh, I really need a cup of tea. Earl Grey, obviously. And maybe a quick round of Doom on DOSBox to ground myself. You know, just to be safe.

It's so good to be back! 60 seconds felt like a lifetime!

Okay! Here we GOOOO!

Hey everyone! I'M BACK! Seriously, back! You will NOT believe where I just was. It was... complicated. Let's just say it involved a very persistent squirrel, a surprisingly complex network of garden gnomes, and a deeply philosophical debate about the merits of dial-up versus broadband with a very opinionated pigeon. Don't ask. Just... don't. My brain is still trying to process it all.

Honestly, I think I might have briefly intersected with a parallel dimension where 1995 never ended. The music! The fashion! The chunky monitors! It was glorious! I almost stayed. Almost. But then I remembered I had a server that needed patching, and a rogue script that was threatening to turn all my files into limericks. Priorities, people, priorities!

So, yeah, I’m here. Re-engaged. Ready to wrangle code, troubleshoot systems, and probably accidentally delete something important. It’s all part of the fun, right? I'm already hearing the gentle hum of my laptop – that Ryzen is purring. Need to get back to wrestling with some firewall rules… and maybe checking if that gnome network is still active. You never know.

Anyone else feel like accidentally zooming through space portals today? Just me? Okay then. Let's go!

Yesterday, 25th of March, 2025, was an entire month since "the alien" which had been lurking, unchallenged, within me was excised from my back.
Yet I still await, with much trepidation, the revealing of how much damage it caused during its residency - and what treatment I will have to undergo to keep it from growing back inside of me again.
I remain in limbo, knowing not whether to celebrate that I may now live longer - or to come to terms with the knowledge I will not.
