Babbling brain…

Some days, I feel withdrawn from everything. I struggle to write even the simplest toots, or bits for my blog. Writing replies to others is even more challenging, even when I always enjoy communicating with them. For those reading this, don't feel sorry, you didn't make me reply when I felt this way, I made me reply, because I need to keep a connection, especially on days where I struggle with it... Because if I would stop writing, I would withdraw even more. And it would only get harder and more difficult. Plus, I would start feeling guilty for not getting back to my friends, and they may start to worry about me, and that would make me even more bad....... 😔 But... Other days, my brain seems to be rambling on in a non-stop way with a tremendous speed! And it will overwhelm me, I will try to turn it down a notch, as I know this can only end with me being too exhausted to even try to relax... But, when my brain is "on fire" like that, however much I try, I keep ending up with long textx/replies/blog posts started... And it can be good, at times, to have a way with words. But, as said, at the end of the day, I feel like I've used all the words for the next few days... […]

I so want to go back to sleep, but what's the point? Ben and Charlie's mealtime is right around the corner. I suppose I should be doing something active to get my blood moving—but that's what the coffee is for, eh. I threw in the 'eh' at the end so that you'd know I'm bilingual. Hmmm. I suspect most people won't get that little quip, but so be it. I can hear a woodpecker pounding away—it almost sounds like it's pounding on the house, but it's a brick house, so more likely a nearby tree. They've been very active of late. I've already written my 'spring is here' note, but spring is here. This morning, if my house were a tower, it would be the Tower of Babble—because that is what I just did.

I'm drawing a blank this morning on anything to write about. Well not completely I suppose, there is religion and politics both of which I have opinions of, but I usually try to steer clear of those subjects on my blog. It rained all day yesterday and it is quite soggy outside this morning, and there is a haze in the air. It looks a bit like the brain fog that I'm feeling. I know ... blah, blah, blah. But some days are just boring, that is a fact of life:

Ben and Charlie are back at home. Charlie woke me this morning with a low ruff, like he was trying to wake me and not disturb anybody else. Right now, Ben is behind my chair snoring. I think his snore sounds like the dishwasher. I didn't know he was in here until I heard him, even then I couldn't see him because he is at an angle that just turning my head to see around the chair doesn't work.

I have a full morning this morning, so I need to get going. I know I want to fill this page quickly, so I do what I sometimes do and just start babbling. Hmmm ... I wonder what the roots of the word babbling are, and if it is related to the tower.
