I used to love the BBC News channel, but after the merger with BBC World it felt totally dumbed down. Trailers instead of proper news coverage, animated screenshots from the news website flashing across the screen instead of news reports, UK stories gaining less attention.
They’ve opened the door to GB News and it’s their own fault entirely.
I’ll stick to Sky. It’s not perfect, but it’ll do.

Really interesting bit on #bbcnewschannel about effect of #AI #misinformation on #YouTube on kids.

They got shown a video claiming that Pyramids origin is unknown, who built them is unknown and how they are really a power station and just need a power source to start generating electricity.

All of the kids absolutely believed it and were shocked and confused when it was explained to them it was false.

Would be funny if the potential consequences of all this weren't so serious.

The BBC news channel’s updated format has been regarded as “relentlessly global” with home news constantly being placed on a back burner. It’s now a British channel more concerned with the world than Britain itself, and millions are turning off.
The BBC may have saved cash, but Sky News will have a lot of new viewers.

#BBCnewschannel Am I the only one who feels the BBC News Channel has gone downhill since it merged with the world channel earlier in April? I know international and global stories are important, but UK news definitely seems to be getting less coverage since the merger.
Bring back #MartineCroxall and Joanna Gosling. The news channel’s definitely not what it was.
