I understand that American politics is nearly impossible to ignore thanks to how wildly unpredictable their ongoing collapse has been, but if you watch more American politics than Canadian, you risk losing sight of our political reality.

I'm not immune to it, but I've made a conscious effort to prioritize Canadian political news and so that ~60-80% of my political diet is Canadian. It has even helped make the world feel more sane.
