If we depend on other countries, it's not healthy either. We have a history with foreign entities: the British, the Japanese, and the Portuguese; they colonized us and exploited us for resources. Then, China's presence encroaches into our EEZ. Philippine politicians are claiming Sabah. It seems to me that we have no one to trust, not even ourselves. It seems to me that it's best for the government to just go with the flow, enjoy the world, maintain our stability, and engage in politics and democracy while doing what is best at the moment, including being friends with both China and the US, Australia, and the countries you mentioned. Yes, better training with them than doing nothing. We are a relatively new country, lacking in many resources, knowledge, and ideologies, and we have been exploited. The local politicians are also corrupt. We just do what we are capable of at the moment, being ourselves.

I have even heard in Western-driven communities that they claim Brunei violates human rights, while I want to emphasize this knowledge: that same-sex relationships, sexual activities, and sex outside of marriage violate the Quran. I studied Islam, and I believe that genuine repentance matters; God's mercy is greater than human sins. The Sultan enforces the rules that make their citizens happy, but outsiders will always use the flaws of other countries that they perceive. I think these are not examples of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, or respect for a country's sovereignty. These are acts of public mockery and accusations against other nations, aimed at bringing them down for the sake of drama, which has increased influence.

Sometimes, I have the suspicion that they are actually being racist, exhibiting an overly patriotic mindset in which they only want their country to dominate. They use "the decline of America" as justification for threatening other countries, employing tariffs against China as a means of control. They will use any mistake made by China to justify everything they want to do. They claimed that China implemented reciprocal tariffs, and then they used that as an excuse to increase the tariffs to 140%. I must believe that "Make America Great Again" may be a sign of one entity's maximalism. Meanwhile, China and the CCP have already told the world that they are there to prosper together, providing opportunities for other countries to develop. If they truly believe in freedom of speech, they should also listen to Chinese officials who state that "a trade war has no winner.
