It's the problem of the lesser evil. Sure, maybe the current timeline isn't great, but maybe it's far better than the alternatives. Or maybe it's not even better, maybe the current timeline is Primary simply because it's stable and has minimized the number of time travellers running amuck, and the powers, whoever they are, after millenia of time wars finally have a stable timeline that they don't want to fall out of balance.

Loki dealt with this really well in forcing a choice with He Who Remains: Chose the devil you know and accept stability, or open Pandora's Box and invoke pandemonium.

I finished the 3rd & final episode of #AlternateRealities (in the #Embedded podcast from #NPR), where the reporter & family deal with his dad's #ConspiracyTheories - including a $10k bet on his 10 predictions for things that were going to happen (i.e. "prophecies") in 2024. The end was brutal and leaves one with very little hope. It's unsettling, but I guess that's reality 🤷‍♂️
