My frozen options are limited, though. Many contain ingredients I'm outright #allergic to or my body responds poorly to. One line I used to eat frequently was discontinued on #Canada and that narrowed things down even more.
And the expense! As mentioned above, the #disability pension disabled people in #Alberta rely on has not been increased since 2016.
Not that this pension was ever particularly generous, but I've never felt truly food-insecure since grocery #inflation began ramping up so overtly over the past 5-6 years.
My family member observed (correctly) that making food can be much cheaper and i definitely healthier than the options I presently rely on. But they also know the physical challenges I face and the implications, so they assessed the kitchen not just for #access to various parts of it, but also to rearrange for usable #workflow.

I am extremely sensitive to birch pollen -- but the birch haven't started blooming yet.
It's hazel and alder right now, and apparently, I am also allergic to one or both of those.
It's not only physical symptoms, like full body aches, itching, and coughing. It's also mental clarity and wellness.
I have an air purifier and have finally sourced replacements for the filter.
But after a long, dark winter, I still have to stay inside and can't open the windows even as the temperatures rise.
I had errands to run today, but I can't risk the ensuing suffering. The catkins of the trees will blow out the rest of their pollen in the next several days, as far as I can tell from predictions (https://silam.fmi.fi/pollen.html), so I will hope next weekend will be better and try to do those things then.
Over a year ago I discovered that I'm #allergic to #formaldehyde. It is in pretty much _everything_ and is so hard to avoid: it goes under many names and is often released over time by #preservatives.
However, I only recently learned that is why I am sensitive to fragrances, too. Even if you check the label this #allergen is rarely listed, instead hidden under the "#fragrance" label. Other times formaldehyde isn't even an ingredient but it's created when you spray a product.
