Even after discussions with colleagues in #Mongolia, I remain skeptical abt the decline in "institutional autonomy" since 2019. From 1.31 to 0.53 in five years, but nothing has really changed on institutional autonomy as far a I can tell.

Democracy apparently declining in #Mongolia, at least as measured by V-Dem. Declines also reflected in components that make up #AcademicFreedomIndex.
