Some of the poll results have leads of one percentage point and well within the margin of error. (Should I have included pale stripes for razor-thin leads? Hindsight).

She knows these unpopular ideas could lose her the election. She has not changed her mind about them, she is simply hoping she can make voters forget until she is elected. Then she will do them anyway.
