ReidInteresting. Went to link my F1TV and AppleTV accounts. To my surprise, found that my AppleTV subscription had lapsed. They only offered me the monthly sub. I had to hop over to my Subscriptions settings and re-subscribe to AppleTV to get the annual option.
Regardless, the new system is cheaper than the AppleTV+F1TV options I was paying for separately. FOR NOW.

Chancerubbage@WarnerCrocker seems like it might be a problem endemic to Apple making Mac more like iOS & iPad OS across the board with more expected user reliance on Spotlight finding files for you instead. Recent #atpfm ATP podcast has a couple of peripheral discussions, including a user question and also @siracusa own discussions of frameworks APIs and development of his Mac IS app Hypersoace

solemnmagusSteam Machine is a great step forward but for those that are tecnically inclined it is already possible today.
There are at least two linux distributions that deliver SteamOS-like experience with %99 success rate; Bazzite and CachyOS. These make an effort to include Valve's patches and updates for the best compatibility and offer images that launch into Steam Big Picture interface. Steam Machine itself has some hardware features for tv use like CEC, but %95 of the experience can be replicated today with a mid-low range gaming pc.
