A millihelen is defined as the measure of beauty required to launch one ship.
I finally managed to play @grumpygamer's Return to Monkey Island. Great #game, I must say. Specifically the dialogues and their wit were a blast.
I also enjoyed the graphic style alot, which draw some criticism by fans when the first screenshots were released. To me, it does feel like #MonkeyIsland, but in a fresh look.
The hint book is a nice addition. IMHO that is a nice way to bring good old point and click #adventures to the modern, fast paced #world.
Given how effing hard it is for an experienced software engineer (me) to coax SwiftUI to work, I may just fall back to the *Kit frameworks and let Claude deal with the actual code.
This'll set back Apple's 2030 carbon goal a bit.
I am SO frustrated by SwiftUI I've just told Clause Code "Stop using SwiftUI and use AppKit instead". This'll be interesting.
As expected "Now let me create the main content view controller. This will be more complex as it needs to replicate the SwiftUI UI: [...]"
Several minutes later the app now works as I had hoped. Zero fixing on my part.

My browser extension StopTheMadness Pro stops autoplaying videos and hides Sign in with Google on all sites. It also hides sticky videos and notification requests on many sites.
For more extreme measures, try my Safari extension StopTheScript. It kills JavaScript dead on websites you select. For example, from the blog post, it makes The Guardian readable.
I love going to the air conditioning museum. It’s freon Tuesdays!
Claude Code is so full of unearned confidence. When it completes a request it often says "Perfect! I've updated the ContentView to [...]. Here's what I changed:"
Yep, always perfect, Claudey.
