50,000 people killed by Israel in Gaza. Dutch @trouw.nl has the first part of the list of their names on its front page today. The list is ranked by age; these victims were all zero years old.
If these people were buried in one row of a cemetery, 1 meter apart, that row would now be 50 kilometers long, and still growing every day.
It is talking and writing about this that is causing people to be kidnapped by ICE off the street in the US.
You can find the full list here:
In general, I think Codeberg stands for a future in which people are a lot more suspicious of free goodies given to the FOSS community by for-profit companies.
But it also stands for a world in which self-hosting is not the only practical alternative to the present situation. We stand for community-run infrastructure, volunteering to provide a common good, and making decisions for the benefit of all.

Glad it failed. Happy it’s gone. Good riddance. We don’t need more uninspiring fast food for our free time.
I just emailed all Belgian MEPs regarding the vote on #chatcontrol. It was really easy, this tool will let you copy-paste all relevant email addresses, and provide an email template. Just add your name at the bottom.
Here's one for the icons-in-menus haters on macOS Tahoe:
defaults write -g NSMenuEnableActionImages -bool NO
It even preserves the couple of instances you do want icons, like for window zoom/resize

I advised her to take a screenshot of the "version history" of the document, that should at least give an indication of the work she did.
The number of actions in such a revision history will be a lot smaller when the text was entirely or largely copied from an LLM's output as opposed to a typically longer list when having been written "from scratch"?
