I'm not sure how I ended up in the crosshairs of the #ASHG vendor spam cannon. I'm not going, nor have I been in over a decade. Unfortunately I had to put an email filter on anything with "ASHG" in the subject/body. The spam is unreal.

It's looking more and more like I'll end up missing #ASHG25 in Boston. I've been to every meeting (excepting digital covid meetings) since 2013.

University cost saving measures are moving toward blocking all professional travel allowances on the change of the fiscal year. 😕

Which would also be the first #ASHG that I've not live tooted since I started doing it. Times they are a changing.

American Society of Human Genetics members: the housing site for the 2025 meeting is now open.

If your membership is current, it's in your favor to get rooms reserved soon as possible while you have the most choice. Housing opens for everyone next week.

I'm excited to share a preprint of CAMBUS, a new DNA machine-learning application to identify "constrained" open chromatin regions (OCRs)!
By leveraging cell-type-specific OCRs, CAMBUS prioritized causal variants in a cell-type-specific manner.

This work was also presented as a platform talk at the #ASHG meeting last year.
