1. I didn’t get why rich kids always got rewarded way better for behaving so much worse
2. I didn’t get why lying was morally sound for grown ups only (but I was so excited to be old enough to be allowed to lie)
3. I didn’t get the difference between some guy named “Santa” and a stranger in a costume breaking into our home once a year
4. I didn’t get why this none of this seemed horrifying, or even bothersome, to anyone else
