Hello FOSS world! Linux users concerned with security and privacy while browsing the web , here is a question for you. Do you refrain from using cpu hardware like Ryzen for the reason of security? I’ve recently read about Amd PSP that uses a portion of the cpu as what is essentially spyware on the hardware level. I haven’t found any information on disabling this security flaw in the bios. So with that said, what are your thoughts on this?
@tetrapyloctomist Du kannst natürlich auch etwas aus der x86-Welt nehmen wie beispielsweise den neuen O-Droid H2+:
Das wäre für Deine Ansprüche mehr als ausreichend, du musst dann allerdings mit haufenweise unfreier Firmware leben. Es gibt in der x86-Welt auch "freiere" Alternativen die mit #coreboot laufen, aber alle neueren benötigen viele Blobs für Hardware-Initialisierung und laufen nicht ohne die #intelme bzw. #amdpsp.
Wie wichtig ist dir dieser Aspekt?
