Stefan IhringerLoving #ACityOnMars so far. What irks me a bit though is the subtext that "idea X about living in space is naive because nobody but us has ever thought it through". It's very funny to read but... there's #SciFi movies and literature about all of this! Millions upon millions of pages have been written about why humans won't magically become better people in space or how living in a metal tube is vastly more difficult than living on even the most hostile place on earth... #TheExpanse

Ashwin Nanjappa 🐘Written by the creators of SMBC comic, A City on Mars was a good pop-sci read that delves into the technological, social, physiological, psychological and legal reasons why a space settlement on Moon/Mars in our lifetime might be a challenge. There is so much to hammer out besides just the rockets to get there. Almost every page of the book has their comic illustrations!
