Thanks to teacher Sandra Martinez, the AAUW Thousand Oaks chapter, and the TOHS Latino Youth Leadership Group for inviting councilmember Gutierrez and me to attend todayโs session on city government and youth involvement.
Students asked really good questions about representation, mass transit, and the role of local government. Councilmember Gutierrez and I encouraged them (and everyone, really) to become more engaged in civic life.
