The latest unwanted "upgrade" deprives me of the ability to take MY OWN PHOTOS or FILES files off of MY PHONE. This is no *upgrade*. This is #ransomeware

I didn't buy this thing for the phone, I bought it because the specs made the A53 5G SM-A536W seem to have a camera approximating the capabilities of my Huawei P30 Pro. It didn't, but, it was all I could afford at the time.

It is annoying to be forced to try to remove or at least turn off a bunch of junk like Bixby Vision that I don't want but Samsung baked into my phone. I miss the ability to root my phone with #Cyanogenmod. But now Samsung is denying me the ability to access my own IP

You'll probably get an error if you want to run a #Java 21 (or newer) application on a #RaspberryPi 3, Zero 2, or other type with an #Arm #Cortex #A53 processor. It's a known bug already fixed for the July update release. Until then, you can still run your app with extra command-line options as a workaround.

Unsere Kolleg. der #FaSta & vom #A53 standen gestern vor #Schulbeginn in #Kreuzberg & kontrollierten sowohl die Geschwindigkeit, als auch die #Fahrradstraße.

Ins Netz ging ihnen u.a. ein frisierter Roller mit Fahrer ohne Helm, ohne Fahrerlaubnis aber auf Koks.

Question for my #Infosec colleagues and a new security issue. Bought a used #Samsung A53 phone (I can't stand to pay more than $200 for a phone) off EBay. The advertisement said "Verizon Unlocked, Verizon KNOX By-Passed Phone will work perfectly. A master reset will cause Knox to relock." Since I knew that Knox was on the phone anyway I didn't think twice about doing a factory reset.

Come to find out that it was NOT Knox locked, it was VMWare Work Profile Hub, phone will not let me get past the registration page:

1) I am glad I reset since this is obviously #Remote control software #RAT and who knows who controls the other end. Sounds like a new way to get someone's personal information (not that I am #Paranoid)
2) Is there any way to completely reload a #ROM on a #Samsung #A53
