Actually a world generation tool that we play on the fly with Troika. Creating the setting us we explore a vast underground dim landscape. Pretty atmospheric and creepy, it's a first great session for another in person pub con at a new venue. I get to play a robot who's a dab hand a maths, astrology and cooking.

Archie and Cassie track a purloined piece of the dead god's brain to a cult in Hazuth-Kleg but return to Ulthar to consult with Atal the Wise. It seems that the cult might be a move to redirect the attention of the dead god's mate and so a daring heist is undertaken, along with clever use of magic, to retrieve the brain case.

It's all been the prelude to a monumental fight at the hellhole, wyverns and all. The clever use of a hold portal prevents our enemies from doing their best and we prevail. Mr Slim shows his true hand a bit too much an will have to be dealt with.

Another 3 day 13th Age fest in person, what a treat. We pick up a campaign from last year. We're on a guild mission to understand how a hellhole has opened nearby and when it has moved a ley line. We have to work with a dodgy guild contractor called Mr Slim who seems far too smooth and accommodating. We explore the area and prepare to enter the weird spatial geometries around the hole.

Exploring the tunnels under Sarkomand and find the pit wherein the god resided and the Men of Leng still throw their offering, Cassie and Archie find an enormous carcase, a result of a much earlier action of their. They dodge parasites and follow in the footsteps of earlier visitors to find out what they did here.

The prison is being searched for the drugs we stole so we put our plan into action. We fail plenty of rolls - it's heavy going but I manage to get our mark out of his cushy cell. A couple of explosions draw the attention away, and provide an exit to our ship handily parked outside. We take a few scratches but make it through, surprising given how lethal combat can be in this game. We deliver the package and get another unsavoury task.

Our third and final mystery, a circus comes to town, with an oliphaunt! An acrobat dies on the opening night and the Snafflebrook Irregulars do what they do best - pitch in and make a nuisance of themselves. A great use of pooka magic finds part of the puzzle early on, but I know better than to have a straightforward solution. They do come good however and the guilty party (-ies) are brought to boot.

On to the ruins of Sarkomand, mostly laid waste by what Archie and Cassie freed from the Moon. The Moonbeasts are all gone but the Men of Leng are soldiering on in their foul ways - in part to ensure there are sacrifices to chuck into the pit where their god thing dwells. Some of friends from a high plateau are met and soon it will be time to explore the tunnels to see where the Carthusians went when they came this way.
