Archie and Cassie follow their quarry to the original wooden 11thC Chartreuse Priory. The big stone thing was some kind of echo of the 17thC building. They catch up with the chap who is using this as a backdoor to the Great Library, whom he's clearly working for, but he seems decent enough. They go in together to a very old and deep level, it's all very strange. They find some people who have been trapped here for years. Can they escape?

Fortunately Archie and Cassie have with them the burning key that gives access to the Aethyr. Holding it causes a keyhole to appear. Turning the key it in makes the world twist at right angles and the door opens through to the homogenous grassland that is TEX. Emotions are directions here so they orient themselves to the hollowness that leads to the cliff over the void on the face of which sits an egg.

There's some tidying up after the battle, more Galois papers and Ole, the putative sacrifice, an alchemist, working on the perfection of self through prayer and meditation. A sword is found that belongs to Christian, Skaa's friend. She's more concerned about this than she likes to say. Ole describes an amulet that he's seen on Christian worrying her even more. They scry for him, he's in the first Aethyr they visited (339 sessions ago).

The group return to the Dreamlands to prepare some vials of poison and return to the Aethyr were less time has passed so the Serpent Folk have only managed to find a sacrifice who is all bound up. The glass vials are tied together then magically floated off above the quarry and dropped to fine effect.

Cassie notices some flying foe trying to catch her vials which she avoids and takes out two other serpent men who were hiding. Success!

Together with their new ally they track down the Serpent Folk to where they are performing a ritual. Their a makeshift glyph on the floor in the middle, made out of broken furniture. The Serpent Folk give it their all but it doesn't work. "Next time, we use a sacrifice," says one of them. The glyph is recognised as the English Ley Line network. There are too many to fight so perhaps darker arts might work and some of Galois work is read.

Archie and Cassie follow the trail to a house where a battle recently took place. There are two dead and one dying Serpent Folk, finished off by Archie and a dead man. The room is covered in scribbles in French and Maths. It's Evariste Galois who has been working on the nature of Aethyrs. They follow the trail and find their quarry who gets over the shock of being followed. Everyone wants to know what the Serpent Folk are doing here.

Archie and Cassie talk again to the chatty maid and enter the Temple of Unattainable Desires. They find a musty room in a house with an extinguished incense burner, but outside on the street they recognise the city as the Aethyr ICH, the one next to be abyss wherein Chronzon dwells. They've not been here since session 196 (this is 367) when they performed a ritual on Crowley to reunite him with part of his soul that was lost in 1909.

Archie and Cassie explore the Street of Pantheons and find out that Death stalks the streets, literally. They find the foreboding Temple of Unattainable Desires and talk to a loquacious beggar. Their quarry lives in the house opposite. She is currently in the Temple, the also chatty maid informs them so they take a Fluke's Ale at the Docks. They return to their inn, and notice that they take security very seriously.
