On to the ruins of Sarkomand, mostly laid waste by what Archie and Cassie freed from the Moon. The Moonbeasts are all gone but the Men of Leng are soldiering on in their foul ways - in part to ensure there are sacrifices to chuck into the pit where their god thing dwells. Some of friends from a high plateau are met and soon it will be time to explore the tunnels to see where the Carthusians went when they came this way.

A short visit to the General of Cats confirms there are bad things happening on the Moon and Atal the Wise is able to fill in some of the background. It seems to have happened after Archie and Cassie freed something on the Moon (about 160 sessions and 5 years ago). Now to travel to Kadath to see what the Carthusians are up to.
Score Big Savings with the Trail of Cthulhu Megabundle
I can't emphasize enough how much I love the #TrailOfCthulhu core book presenting multiple different, conflicting, & plausaible "truths" about what or who the familiar Old Gods are just to give some actual mystery to them.
So many games (and so much media in general) like to talk about how no one knows the truth & everyone is only working with half the puzzle at best, but only ever present one objective truth.
The #WorldOfDarkness (& everything it influenced) are particularly prone to that.
#BundleOfHolding launched a big #TrailOfCthulhu deal with the core book and a whole slew of advetnures.
This is my second favorite iteration of the classic Cthulhu investigation kind of RPG, behind #DeltaGreen, and Trail really popularized the "you don't roll just to find clues, you get those by showing up - you roll to get bonus information" approach to mysteries and the core book has great advice on how to adapt/twist mythos "truths" to keep things fresh.

Investigator! This new Trail of Cthulhu Megabundle presents a monstrously large horde of rulebooks, supplements, and sourcebooks for Trail of Cthulhu, the tabletop roleplaying game of eldritch Cthulhu Mythos investigations using the GUMSHOE System from Pelgrane Press. Adventures using the investigative GUMSHOE system (also seen in The Yellow King RPG, Swords of the Serpentine, Night's Black Agents, The Esoterrorists, and others) aren't about hunting for clues but interpreting them – figuring how they solve the mystery. Star designer Kenneth Hite uses his encylopedic knowledge of history and Lovecraftian horror to capture the creeping madness of the 1930s, a time of sweeping cruelty by authoritarian rulers and the Great Old Ones alike.

Archie and Cassie consult with King Kuranes, a cat, and visit Ulthar, again, to see Atal the Wise. There is clearly some kind of existential threat to the Dreamlands, and the Carthusians are doing something about it. But at what cost?
