@rnd why not get rid of that shit work entirely and just have them be organized in alphabetical order to begin with ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Spent a few nights this week, and most of the day today, writing a new GNOME App.

It lets you convert epubs to Kobo-formatted kepub files, and copies it directly onto your Kobo for you.

The code lives here: https://codeberg.org/nathandyer/Kepublicity

I'm going to request an app icon, then once that's ready I'll of course submit it to Flathub.

Unofficial website to browse GTK apps for Android, new release of Gir.Core, C# bindings for GTK, Bazaar's Curated page gets overhauled and much more in This Week in GNOME!

#255 Curated Updates

Updates on what happens across the GNOME project from week to week

@dieweltist nope - the new game did pretty ass, so payday 2 is still getting frequent updates XD
New Payday 2 engine overhaul, life is good

@thomholwerda There is a somewhat secret light mode - you can activate it in refine or through a gsettings key: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme 'prefer-light'

Why its not the default, I can only assume because the designs/implementation is not fully done, but im not a shell/design person so idk

@bugaevc I feel that way too, a lot, as someone who's had pretty bad self esteem issues over the years. Even with my more user facing changes, it's hard to motivate myself or consider my individual changes or fixes as having much importance.

I think it is important to remember that fixating on the immediate gains of fixing one issue is missing the forest for the trees - in this case for example, fixing Vala bugs entices more people to write more , better Vala, means more and better apps, means more interest in open source software and more peoples lives improved by being able to use an open source solution or simply something they like better, even if they don't realize it. As clichรฉ as it may be to say this, even small changes have a big impact in th long term

And on a more personal level, I always appreciate everything my comrades in FOSS do, especially yourself and all the help you have given me over the years :)

The next release of Shotwell, an easy-to-use, fast photo organizer, will bring some exiting changes!

- A rework of the printing workflow
- An overview of all the keyboard shortcuts
- Lots of updated translations
