Who here has dealt with destructive feedback? How did you cope and get yourself back into a good headspace?

I'm thankful that, over the years, I've encountered mostly actionable feedback. Some notes might be worded in a harsher tone, but still highlight a path toward improvement.

Notes should never lead to tearing down a writer or how they approach their individual process, and if you ever encounter that, walk away and find a better group.

Ed Yong returns with another crucial article at the Atlantic detailing how the world is erasing #LongCovid patients during the greatest hour of need and community support.

CW: George Carlin’s style of humor can be abrasive.

I’ve been watching a lot of George Carlin's comedy lately because the level of intelligence and awareness behind his commentary remains so relevant.

This clip discusses the evolution of "soft language" across generations and made me realize that we’re currently experiencing this in real-time with the pandemic (it's not "covid" anymore it's "a seasonal cold!") https://youtu.be/o25I2fzFGoY

My dog and I are at war over the comfiest chair in the house. 😂 I told her when she starts paying her share of the rent, we can consider negotiating.

Anyone else get super distracted by short "research" tangents while revising your WIPs? 😅 I've gotta start remembering to set separate timers to get back on track...

My dog has gotten more and more sassy in her senior years. When she doesn't hydrate properly on her own, I insist she takes "two sips" before she's allowed on her comfy chair -- so, lo and behold, she laps up EXACTLY two sips! 🤦🏼‍♂️ Can't exactly deny her after that, now, can I?! 🤣
