A short update for March 2026.
We are continuing to actively fundraise for financial support to develop a Wayland compositor for Xfce(xfwl4).
In the month of February, we have received 52 donations (Xfce: $419.61 & Xfce(EU): €634.10).
To date, we have paid out $15,050 for work completed on xfwl4.

Announcing the Xubuntu Anniversary Wallpaper Contests (yes, plural)!
Xubuntu 26.04, releasing in April, marks 20 years of Xubuntu as an official flavor. Time flies!
First, we're opening up a community wallpaper contest. Six images will be selected and included in 26.04, and the winners will receive Xubuntu stickers.
Second, we are asking the community to select two past wallpapers to be remixed for 26.04. Pick your favorites!

I've put together a panel plugin for xfce. Its a Windows 7 style volume mixer. There is a similar project for KDE. Its still a WIP so I would love to collab and get some PRs going.
