You bet I enjoyed going out play above the snow with a drone!

It doesn't happen that often anymore that we get a good cover of snow. And if it does like now it will be gone in a day or two.

The woods and fields around Hilversum are always good source of imagery. With a highway snaking through, behind the former convent of Stads God.

This convent was closed on 2014, and the grounds were donated to the Goois Natuur Reservaat. The history These days it is part of a network of nature reserves that are connected using bridges or tunnels.

Moments in time. The safer thing to have done was to stay inside. If I had done that during this October 2013 storm, I would have missed out on a powerful experience.

So go out there and do what makes you happy. But do it in a responsible and safe manner!

It is autumn, a season with beautiful vibrant colors. I am still happy that I have been able to capture this piece of history. The tree that is the focal point of this image is a tulip tree that was hit by lightning a couple of years before. Two years after I took this photo that tree was completely removed because it couldn't recover anymore.

Up until a few years ago this stretch of water used to be a 4 lane city highway. So glad they decided to restore it to how it was before the car centric urbanization of the '60s.

Shifting my perspective by using a drone. A view of the Oude Gracht in Utrecht from up a little bit higher. This canal only carries the name of Oude Gracht (Old Canal) since the Nieuwe Gracht (New Canal) was finished in 1393. Before then it was probably just known as the Canal.

Norway in 2023. The first stop and camping after coming in from Sweden. Fields of wheat nestled in between steep cliffs of the Stjørdalen valley. That evening, after the sun had set, the clouds lit up with amazing blue, purple and magenta colors.

Instead of going off camping by myself in France for two weeks, I decided to stay home. So I did a regional touristy thing and visited the artifical islands of the Marker Wadden (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marker_Wadden) today.

It was fun, and I am colored like a lobster now. There was more sun then I expected.

Almost looks like an art installation. But it is just a decking path 'over' a pond which is flooded. Only the railings are sticking out of the water.
