My wife got me the book pictured here (National Geographic Photo Basics) because I said I wanted to learn to take decent pictures of landscapes, mostly.
Now, what camera should I get to begin learning with? I have a phone, but I'd rather use a camera so I can really learn my way around one with this book. I am actively soliciting recommendations. Budget is not of concern at the moment. Thanks in advance!

Ooh! THIS is one of the biggest things I've been wishing the standard Mastodon interface has: hovering over someone's name brings up a card with their info and whether you follow them or not, or if they follow you. As simple as it may seem, this is a killer feature!

Now I'm even MORE glad I sponsored them on GitHub!

My apologies to the people I just unfollowed and immediately refollowed. Please pardon the rapid fire notifications.

@elk has this button that says "Mututals", and I was like, "Huh. Is it trying to show me people we both mutually follow, like friends of friends thing or something?" No. It means we mutually follow each other. Upon clicking it, it then read "Follow Back" and I was like "OPE! RUT RO!"

So, yeah. My bad. Living and learning over here.

Vivaldi recently became the first browser to have its own Mastodon instance, Vivaldi Social. Now, the new version on the desktop is the first to integrate Mastodon into the browser itself, along with the ability to pin tab groups and other UI improvements.
