LOOKING FOR WRITERS
#HumanisticJudaism magazine is in the early stages of putting together our fall issue. The theme for the issue will be on end-of-life issues and we currently have a few things in the works but are hoping to find some more voices to feature in the magazine and/or on the SHJ blog.
In particular, we are looking for:
1. Short pieces that explore mourning rituals and rites, from a humanistic perspective (we are hoping to feature several of them, as part of a longer piece).
2. Personal accounts of those who have worked with others during the process of dying (or with those who are mourning)
3. Essays on ethical issues about dying.
4. Poetry, liturgical writings, etc. on the theme.
Along with this theme, I'm also looking for one or more writers to discuss the issue of #AI and Humanistic Judaism (either for the magazine or our blog). Such writers could take a variety of approaches (positive, critical, practical , theoretical, etc.) but we would want to find connections between AI and Humanistic Judaism.
If you or someone you know is interested in writing for us on these themes, please shoot me a line at humanisticjudaismmagazine@gmail.com.
